The Girls Soccer Team traveled to Merrimack Valley yesterday afternoon to take on the 7th seeded Pride. Merrimack Valley scored 1st to take the lead into the half. Milford made an offensive adjustment in the second haft to come back and tie the game 20 seconds into the second half from a crossing pass across the front of the goal and scored by Lexi Bausha, however the Pride was able to get a couple break away goals later in the half to take a 3-1 lead. Milford knocked on the door a few more times in the second half but could not score, so the Pride will move on to the Quarterfinal round. Great effort by the Spartans and great job by our seniors who never gave up.

There were many games with play-implications played on Friday. The Girls Soccer team tied Lebanon 1-1 to put them in a 3 way tie for 10th place with Keene and Souhegan. As best I can figure, Milford will travel to Kingswood on Tuesday for a 3 pm start. The Boys Varsity Soccer team playing shorthanded, solidified its #3 seed with a 2-1 win over Lebanon and will have a bye in the First Round and will likely play the winner of Coe Brown and Souhegan on Saturday at 3 or 6 pm. The Girls volleyball team locked in their 3rd place finish in the regular season with a 3-0 win over Manchester West on Friday. The volleyball team will host St. Thomas on Wednesday at 6 pm in Preliminary Round action. With a win on Wednesday, Milford would host a quarterfinal game again on Friday. The Boys JV Soccer team had a tough time with Lebanon but never gave in, in a loss to the Raiders. The JV Girls Volleyball Team finished the regular season undefeated with their 3-0 win over Manches

Souhegan then upset the Spartans 3-0, although the 1st and 3rd game were decided by two points. The Spartan Girls Soccer Team Seniors were recognized prior to the start of the game, but could not overcome the Sabers in a 1-0 loss. LuLu Maguire got her first minutes on the pitch for the fall to start the game and helped lead seniors Joselyn Shaw, Kaleigh Lloyd, Molly Miles, Claire Cote, and Kaylee Meedzan. Clara Barbetta, the Team Manager was honored as well. Thank you to all you have done in your 4 years here in Milford.
