Milford Represented us well at the Meet of Champions yesterday afternoon.The Boys 4 x 800 Relay of Logan Korthals, Will Whitley, Grant Skorupan and Chase Paiva, started things off with a second place finish, finishing just behind Salem.Avery Wilson then took 2nd in the 100 M and 200 M, finishing only behind a runner from Manchester Central.Ethan Morin finished 2nd in the High jump clearing 6'2"Freshman Rylee Coates finished 8th in the 400 M DashKenyon Sora finished 5th in the 400 M DashGrant Skorupan was 6th in the 800 M and Will Whitley 13thand Milford finished the Meet off with a 6th place finish in the 4 x 400 M Relay with Grant, Will, Kenyon and Avery.New England Qualifiers should be out later today.Congratulations to you all as Boys Track finished the year as our Team of the Week!!!
More About Track Meet of Champion ResultsThe Girls Softball Team traveled to Merrimack Valley yesterday afternoon and came out hot with 3 runs in the top of the first inning, but the Pride bounced back with 4 of their own in the bottom of the 1st. Milford then went up 6-4 over the next two innings, but Merrimack Valley was able to peck away a run at a time to overtake the Spartans 7-6 after the 6th inning. The Spartans got runners on 3rd during the 6th and 7th, but could not get the big hit to bring them home. All in all, it was a great effort by the Spartans who were the 12th seed playing the #5 seed.Molly Miles had 2 hits and 4 RBI's to lead the offense for the Spartans. Arianna Wales had 2 hits as wellAlivia Mazzeo went the entire game in the circle giving up 7 runs on 6 hits and striking out 3.Best Wishes to Shaelyn Chappell and Molly Miles for all your leadership throughout the year.
More About Softball Playoff ResultsBoys Track and Field won the DII State Championship Sunday at Sanborn High School lead by dominating performances by the relay teams. The 4x400M team of Avery Wilson, Kenyon Sora, Will Whitley and Logan Korthals set a DII State Record with a time of 3:25.47. 4x800 team of Chase Paiva, Logan, Will and Grant Skorupan won by a commanding 13 seconds. Josh Pettingill, Tiegan Barb, Avery and Kenyon held off Conval to win by just .27 of a second.In individual events Avery Wilson Broke the State D2 Record in the 200 M Dash with a time 21.36, Then initially broke the record in the 100 M preliminaries, before the winner of the 100 broke his record back again in the finals narrowly beating Avery. Cam Lewicki placed 6th in the Javelin, Ethan Morin placed 4th in the High Jump and Kenyon Sora placed 4th in the Triple Jump and 3rd in the 400 M Dash. More About Boys Track & Field Win States, Girls Finish 8thCongratulations to the Softball team who earned a spot in the play-offs last night with a 6-4 win over Souhegan. Congratulations to Molly Miles and Shaelyn Chappell who will be graduating in just over a week. Molly Miles went 3 for 4 with a towering homerun and Nadia Dutton went 2 for 4.Alivia Mazzeo went 6 2/3 innings for the win giving up 6 hits and 4 runs while striking out 8.The girls will play next Wednesday in the first round of the play-offs with a team to be named on Monday.Great Job Girls.
More About Softball Clinches Playoff spotThe JV Baseball team traveled to Souhegan yesterday afternoon and lost 8-4, however 5 of the 8 runs were unearned. Brody Belanger, Aiden Zahn and Danny Lowy all pitched well for the Spartans. The Varsity Team hosted the Sabers. Gabe St. Onge did a great job on the mound limiting the Sabers and Bryce Larco came in in the 7th inning to shut down the Souhegan Bats, but it was not enough on Senior Night. Congratulations to all our seniors on a great effort throughout the year. More About Baseball finishes the season with tough loss to SouheganCongratulations to the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team on a 12-2 win over Interlakes-Marlborough yesterday afternoon. 8 different Girls scored for the Spartans as the offense and the Defense played well for Milford. The Varsity Baseball team was stymied yesterday by the Hanover Pitcher who allowed only one hit and had 15 strikeouts to shutout the Spartans. The Varsity Softball team had at least one hit from each person in the line up in route to a 20-10 win. Haley Harrington had 6 RBI's and she and Abby Walters each had 3 hits. Chloe Pierson had her first varsity hit and went 1-2 with 2 RBI's and walked 3 times.Mya Coombs picked up the win on the mound giving up 5 earned runs on 11 hits and 2 strike outs. The Boys Lacrosse team finished out the regular season last night traveling to Kearsarge and lost 14-2

Jack Bonifilia was behind the plate and threw a runner out trying to steal second. Jack was 2-4 and Parker Antonowicz went 2 for 2 at the plate.Great Job Boys. The Varsity Baseball team bounced back from a close game yesterday to beat Sandborn 6-4. Logan Howard was 2-4 with 2 stolen bases, Gabe St. Onge was 2-3 and Liam Zahn was 3 for 3 with 2 stolen bases. Freshman Jacob Hill got the win on the mound pitching 5 innings giving up 5 hits and striking out 5 Pride hitters. The Softball team traveled to Sanborn Regional and could not knock off the Spartans.
More About Tuesday Baseball/Softball ResultsThe Girls Tennis Team, led by veteran Willa Audley was able to get some newcomers into the Matches on Friday, but were unable to get past Timberlane. Jordan Gebro won a couple games at the #1 Singles spot, Benadetta Mappi won 4 games in the number 3 spot, Anagha Pallai did well at number 4, Taiylor Dodson and Alexa Cornaro played well at #5 and 6. Congratulations to Seniors Taiylor and Benadetta as they finished out their Tennis Season. The Softball Team jumped out to an early 5-0 lead on some great pitching by Mya Coombs who shut down the Bears through the first 3 frames, but then the Coe Brown bats came alive to come back and beat the Spartans. More About Spring Signing Day 2025Yesterday at Noon, the High School JV and Varsity Baseball Teams and Varsity Lacrosse Team attended the Flag Day Ceremony at Riverside Cemetary. Following the service, the boys and many other volunteers helped place new flags at the sites of all veterans. In the fall after Veterans Day, the Football teams help to collect the old Flags.
More About MHS Spartans preparing for Memorial DayBaseball, Softball and Boys Lacrosse traveled to Laconia yesterday afternoon. The softball team could not hold down the Sachems and lost a competitive game 10-5. Laconia Baseball was down 4-1 going into the 7th, but Milford responded to pick up the 13-1 win. Jacob Hill had 2 doubles and Bryce Larco had 3 hits and Gabe St. Onge also had two hits for the Spartans.Bryce Larco got the complete game shut-out on the hill with 9 strike outs. The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team ran into a tough Laconia group and could not over come the Sachems. Rocco Bartling did do an excellent job in net with 21 saves. The Girls team was able to score 3 against a top goalie in the state, but could not slow down Gilford in an 18-3 loss. The JV Girls Lacrosse Team lost to Gilford yesterday evening 7-2.
