Weekend Results
There were many games with play-implications played on Friday. The Girls Soccer team tied Lebanon 1-1 to put them in a 3 way tie for 10th place with Keene and Souhegan. As best I can figure, Milford will travel to Kingswood on Tuesday for a 3 pm start. The Boys Varsity Soccer team playing shorthanded, solidified its #3 seed with a 2-1 win over Lebanon and will have a bye in the First Round and will likely play the winner of Coe Brown and Souhegan on Saturday at 3 or 6 pm. The Girls volleyball team locked in their 3rd place finish in the regular season with a 3-0 win over Manchester West on Friday. The volleyball team will host St. Thomas on Wednesday at 6 pm in Preliminary Round action. With a win on Wednesday, Milford would host a quarterfinal game again on Friday. The Boys JV Soccer team had a tough time with Lebanon but never gave in, in a loss to the Raiders. The JV Girls Volleyball Team finished the regular season undefeated with their 3-0 win over Manches

Milford had a tough night against Souhegan but never gave up. The Volleyball teams traveled to Souhegan. The reserve team lost the deciding game for a 2-1 loss. The JV team beat the Sabers 2-0. Souhegan then upset the Spartans 3-0, although the 1st and 3rd game were decided by two points. The Spartan Girls Soccer Team Seniors were recognized prior to the start of the game, but could not overcome the Sabers in a 1-0 loss. LuLu Maguire got her first minutes on the pitch for the fall to start the game and helped lead seniors Joselyn Shaw, Kaleigh Lloyd, Molly Miles, Claire Cote, and Kaylee Meedzan. Clara Barbetta, the Team Manager was honored as well. Thank you to all you have done in your 4 years here in Milford.

The Boys' Soccer Team hosted Souhegan yesterday afternoon on Senior Night. The JV team got down 1-0, but battled back to tie the game at one, which is where the game ended. Braedon Orlen played well in goal for Milford. The Varsity broke out in a big way in route to a 5-1 win over the Sabers. Avery Wilson scored 4 goals to reach the 50 goal mark for the season. Fellow Seniors Bryce Larco, Vinny Arsenov, Tyler Staiti, Kenyon Sora, Tyler Ireland, Joonas Mangum, Jake Neubeck and Joshua Berry all played well for Milford as we honored all the Seniors. The Team plays its final game of the regular season on Friday at 4 pm vs Lebanon on the Soccer Field.

The Girls Soccer Team hosted Pembroke on Friday night and played to a 1-1 tie. Claire Cote scored the lone Milford goal of the ricochet off the crossbar. The girls host their Senior Game on Wednesday evening at 6 pm vs Souhegan. The Boys Soccer Teams won both of their games at Pembroke 2-1.The JV team had a goal and an assist each from Alvero Canas and Lukas Magnum.The Varsity Team won their hard fought win looking to earn a bye in the first round of the play-offs.Their Senior Game vs Souhegan will be on Tuesday at 6 pm. The Varsity Football team traveled to St. Thomas in Dover on Friday night and was unable to beat STA in a 42-6 loss. The Team hosts ConVal on Friday Night at 7 pm and will honor the Seniors from Football, Fall Spirit and Band. Plymouth High School traveled to Milford yesterday afternoon and Milford took 2 of the 3 matches.The reserve team came back to win the 2nd match but lost the deciding set 15-10.The JV team won the match 2-0 and won all three sets.The Varsity team started seniors Emma Desrosiers, Abby Krulis, Loghan Varney, Beth Brooks and Addy Flynn and beat the Bobcats in 3 sets, Emma led the way with some great sets, Abby and Beth had some awesome spikes, Loghan had some precise serves, and Addy was all over the floor making plays. Great job seniors and best of luck as you prepare for the play-offs. In Field hockey, the outcome was not in our favor, but we continued to play our game finishing with class. Lauren Jasper played well and was all over the field making plays from her midfielder position. The Girls Soccer Team traveled to Keene and tied the Blackbirds 1-1. Haleigh Lloyd scored the lone goal for Milford while Molly Miles had 6 saves The Campbell boys soccer team avenged an earlier loss to the Spartans by beating Milford 4-1. Avery Wilson scored the lone goal for the Spartans while Tiegan Barb and Kenyon Sora played well defensively for Milford. In the JV game Milford lost 2-1 in a very even game throughout. Alvaro Canes scored the lone goal for Milford in the loss. Jack Bastarache scored a 96 yesterday at Windham Country Club while Hunter Kolesar scored a 99 for Milford, but it was not quite enough to move on to the Single Championships at Beaver Meadow on Friday. On Friday afternoon, the Girls Soccer Team traveled to ConVal and earned a tie with the Cougars 1-1. The team, a bit short handed due to a wedding, battled tough all game with the next player up mentality. Camy Sayward did a great job taking over in goal and Kingsley Matsis scored for Milford, while Haleigh Lloyd got the assist. The Milford Field Hockey Teams took on Derryfield, a team with strong field hockey tradition and played them scoreless through 3 quarters until Derryfield was finally able to score the game winner in the 4th quarter to win 1-0. The Jv team also lost by the same score. The Football team played Souhegan close to start the game scoring on a 10 yard strike from Quarterback Brady O'Connor to Gavyn Tessier to make the score 14-6, but some big plays by Souhegan gave the Sabers a 43-6 win. In soccer action today at ConVal, the Spartan JV team knocked off the Cougars 3-1. Alvaro Canas scored two goals and one from Steven Abair. Eben Barb had one assist and the other came from Oliver Contarino.ConVal matched up to Milford last night to tie the Varsity Spartans 1-1. In Volleyball, the teams traveled to Kennett to sweep the Eagles at all three levels. The Reserve Team won 2-0, The JV team 2-0 and the Varsity finished off Kennett 3-0. It was a great trip for the Spartans. In Field Hockey, the JV and Varsity Teams traveled to Hanover for games with the Bears. The Varsity Team lost 6-0 against a very good Hanover team and JV as well 3-0.

The Field Hockey Teams traveled to John Stark for a double header against the Generals. Stark won the Varsity game, but just squeaked by the JV team 2-1. Emma Freeman scored for Milford with an assist from Sydney Pisacane. The Varsity team continued to improve getting the ball upfield and Chloe Marchand had some incredible saves during the first 3 quarters. In Boys soccer the JV team beat Laconia 3-1. Alvaro Canas had 2 goals and Chris Quazada had the other goal. Lukas Mangum had two assists while Asher Maguire had the other.The Varsity boys beat the Sachems 3-0. Kymani Velez-Boggis and Blake Stone scored two of the Milford Goals. The Girls Soccer Team hosted Laconia and beat the Sachems 3-0. Claire Cote had the first two goals and Kinsley Matsis finished the other goal. Haleigh Lloyd, Lexi Bausha and Maya Remella had assists for Milford.

The Varsity Field Hockey Team traveled to Merrimack Valley for a game against the Pride. The team played well, but lost 4-0. The JV Football team hosted Manchester West, but unfortunately a few big plays by the Knights led them to a 30-0 win over the Spartans. The Volleyball Teams continued to roll in a JV 2-0 win and a Varsity 3-0 sweep of Pythons last night in Pelham. Abby Krulis led the team with 14 spikes for points, Piper Greenhalph had 9 aces, Kassie Cupin had 18 assists and Paige Davis had 15 digs.
