Unified Basketball Hold off Souhegan for Their Second Win.

Congratulations to the Unified Team on a 51-48 victory over the Souhegan Sabers Tuesday afternoon. Natalee Lambert led the way on both offense and defense with a number of steals and break away lay-ups. Mikey Hill did a great job on the boards with a number of put backs. Noah Brickley got things started with the first basket. Newcomer Katrina Jordan chipped in with a few baskets. Haley Motard got the crowd into it with a thunderous dunk in the 3rd quarter.  Great Job Team.

Boys 4x800 Finish 2nd at Wildcats Relays

Logan Korthals, Will Whitley, Grant Skorupan and Chase Paiva competed yesterday in the 4x800 at the Wildcat Relays at UNH competing against 2 other D2 schools and 5, D1 schools and took home a second place finish in the event.Great job team in representing Milford at this event.

On Friday night the Basketball Teams sweep Plymouth Regional High School in Basketball, The JV team led at one point by as many as 12 points in the second half, but the Bobcat Boys battled back only to have Malakai Blay put in the game winner as Milford prevailed 50-49. The Varsity Boys held a 17-11 lead at the half and then went on to will by 20, 37-17. Tyler Constable started hot in the first half and Kenyon Sora played his best offensive game to date, to lead the Spartans in the second half. The girls teams traveled to Plymouth and the JV team won 31-15. The Varsity team won 65-34 to complete the sweep by the Spartans. On Saturday the bowling team scored the most points in Team score points at a 580 for the 5 players and scored their highest Baker Score at 119, but were unable to take home any overall points on the day. The Unified Basketball Team traveled to Hollis Brookline a bit short handed, but still played tough in a 44-35 loss. The Admiral Hockey team picked up their 3rd win in a row over the Bishop Brady-Merrimack Valley Team 6 to 3. Brayden Atwood led the way with a hat trick scoring three goals Mason Tomkins, Bryce Larco and Dylan MacLeod each had a goal. Dylan also had two assists while Bryce and Chris Bozza also had an assist..  The wrestling team dominated Bishop Guertin with a 53-24 win last night.

Last night the Girls and Boys Basketball Teams battled Souhegan. The JV boys lost a tough one to the Sabers and the boys varsity lost a heartbreaker in overtime 36-33. Will O'Connell led the way with 24 points while Kenyon Sora and Ethan Szopa helped defend the Sabers, holding them to 6 points in the first half. Ethan Morin hit a key 3 point shot in the fourth quarter which helped to force overtime. The girls JV team lost 34-24. Maya Remela led the way with 9 points and Lea Lyons added 5 points, one of which was a 3.The Varsity team won big over the Sabers 55-30. Ellianna Nassy led the way with 18 points and 2 3's. The Girls Basketball Teams hosted Merrimack Valley on Friday night. The Pride shot extremely well in the JV game and beat the Spartans 43-20, however the Spartans were able to win the second half. The Spartans started hot in the Varsity game, however Merrimack Valley battled back in the second half to send the game into overtime. Avery Fuller hit two key free throws with under 10 seconds to play to give the Spartans the win 51-50. Maggie Pelletier hit a key free throw at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. Claire Cote also went 4 of 4 in the 4th quarter to help Milford and Shea Hansen led all scorers with 17 and 3, 3 point shots The Boys teams traveled to Merrimack Valley. The JV team lost 43-34 and the Varsity boys had a shot to tie it at the end of the game, but went in and out. However, it was a valiant effort against the undefeated Pride. The Swim Team again earned  some more qualifying efforts at a meet at Keene State on Friday Night. For Milf

Boys Soccer selected to Nashua Telegraph all Star team

Congratulations to the Boys Soccer Team members who dominated the area Nashua Telegraph all star team. Here are the award winners.Avery Wilson (F) named Co-Player of the year as well as 1st Team Offense.  Midfielder Vincent Arsenov and defensemen Joonas Mangum and Tiegan Barb along with Goalie Darien Bachelder were also named as a 1st Team All Star.Honorable mention were Defensemen Bryce Largo and Kenyon Sora and Midfielder Matt Pettingill.Anson Thibault took home Coach Of The Year. Congratulations to all players on their hard work and dedication.  You truly deserve this honor.

The Unified Basketball Team traveled to Merrimack High School yesterday afternoon to take on the Tomahawks and came away with a 39-32 victory. Everyone scored for the Spartans led by Christopher LaMarche, Alex Chrisler, Michael Stafford, Tyler Vaillancourt and Hailey Motard. The shot of the day was turned in by Natalee Lambert hitting a three from the top of the key. Michael Hill and Noah Brickley dominated the boards. The Wrestling Team continued to impress as the Spartans knocked off a strong Goffstown Team 39-35. Kane Davis, Calix Lajoie, Tanner Hebert, Jace Willhelmi, Nate Post and Eli Wales where the big winners for Milford. The Alvirne-Milford Hockey Team battled back and forth with Timberlane last night, but the Admirals prevailed in overtime thanks to the game winner by Dylan McLeod

The girls basketball teams traveled to Lebanon while the boys were home to host the Raiders.The JV girls team lost to 42-21, however the Varsity Girls won 55-39. The Boys JV team lost to the Raiders 29-23. The Spartans struggled to finish in the final quarter in the loss. The Varsity Team picked up an important win in a defense battle over Lebanon 30-29.The Spartans drew a number of charges to lock down the defense and Joshua Berry hit a free throw with 1.9 seconds left, and Matt Gaumont got the rebound on the second shot to seal the win.

The Bowling Team traveled to Raymond for a match at Strikers East, however were a player down for the match. Annelise Silva came in with her best game of the season bowling a 102 and Malakai Ramirez had his best  two game score with a 168 and 170. Leila Whitley added a 114 and Sara Barisano-Leaor also bowled her best game to date as well. The Boys Basketball Teams traveled to Laconia and the JV team won 39-34. The Varsity again played some good defense but fell 46-37. The Girls JV team continued it's strong start with a 27-24 win over the Sachems. Lea Lyons hit a 3 late to put Milford ahead, before Laconia came back to tie it with a 3. Maialen Begolain-Garay then hit 2 of 4 free throws to seal the deal for Milford. The Girls Varsity team battled a strong Laconia team, but just was not their night as the Sachems won 50-35, but you can bet those two teams will meet again down the stretch come play-off time. The Ice Hockey Team lost to last year's D2 Champion Oyster Ri

Track and Field competed in a meet at Plymouth State University on the 28th and the Girls Team finished 6th out of 14 teams.For the Boys, Avery Wilson finished first in the 55 Meter Dash and the 4 x 200 M Relay with Brendan Courtney, Marcus Hebert, Josh Pettingill and Avery finished in 3rd place.On the girls side:Cat Carter was 3rd in the 600 MRylee Coates 6th in the 1000 MBella Cornaro 5th in the 55 M HurdlesZoe Rick 2nd in the Shot Putand the 4 x 400 M Relay with Cat, Rylee, Bella and Leila Lessage finished 2nd Last Weekend, Will Whitley and Logan Korthals competed in the New England Invitational in Boston MA. Will placed 4th in the 600 M in 1:27.
