Indoor Track Wins State Championship

The Boys Track and Field Team captured the D2 State Title with an impressive showing against the top teams in the state. Avery Wilson had an impressive day tying a state D2 record in the 55 M dash in 6.49 seconds and qualifying for Nationals. He also came in 5th in the Boys 300 M, setting a school record. Josh Pettingell also finished 10th in the 300 M. Will Whitley finished 3 rd in the 600 M while Logan Korthals finished 3rd in the 1000 M. Grant Skorupan finished 5th in the 1500 M.
The 4 x 800 Relay Team of Will, Logan, Grant and Chase Paiva finished 1st as did the 4 x 400 M Relay with Will, Logan, Avery and Kenyon Sora, who also broke the school record. The 4 x 200 Relay of Logan, Avery, Kenyon and Josh finished 3rd and also broke the school record..
For the Girls, Zoe Rick got things started with a 5th place finish in the Shot Put. Rylee Coates was the first Freshman to finish in the Girls 300 M and took 8th overall. Bella Cornaro had a personal best in the 600 M and finished 10th. The 4x400 Relay team of Rylee, Bella, Grace Mucheru and Cat Carter finished 5th.
Congratulations to the following Individuals who earned a spot in the top 6 at New Englands from both D1 and D2.The 4 x 400 Relay with Avery Wilson, Kenyon Sora, Logan Korthals and Will Whitley earned the #1 spot from NH. The 4 x 800 Relay with Logan, Will, Grant Skorupan and Chaise Paiva earned the #2 Seed. Will Whitley earned the 6th seed in the 600 M dash and Avery Wilson earned the 3rd seed in the 55 M Dash. An amazing job from our D2 State Champions!!
