Busy Holiday Break for our Sports Teams

Track and Field competed in a meet at Plymouth State University on the 28th and the Girls Team finished 6th out of 14 teams.
For the Boys, Avery Wilson finished first in the 55 Meter Dash and the 4 x 200 M Relay with Brendan Courtney, Marcus Hebert, Josh Pettingill and Avery finished in 3rd place.
On the girls side:
Cat Carter was 3rd in the 600 M
Rylee Coates 6th in the 1000 M
Bella Cornaro 5th in the 55 M Hurdles
Zoe Rick 2nd in the Shot Put
and the 4 x 400 M Relay with Cat, Rylee, Bella and Leila Lessage finished 2nd
Last Weekend, Will Whitley and Logan Korthals competed in the New England Invitational in Boston MA. Will placed 4th in the 600 M in 1:27. Logan placed 2nd in the Mile at 4:37.
Will is currently ranked 1st in D2 and Logan is ranked in the top two for the 1000, 1500 and 3,000 Meter runs for D2.
The Boys Basketball team traveled to Nashua South for a Holiday tournament and lost two games to South in the opening game and Souhegan in the Consolation Game.
The Spartans girls basketball team won its second Nashua Holiday Tournament title in the past 3 years with wins over Nashua South 49-35 and Alvirne 38-35, over the weekend at Nashua South High School.
In the semifinals, senior captain Avery Fuller paced the team with 17 points, 15 of those in the first half when the Spartans took a commanding 36-13 halftime lead.
In the Championship, Milford overcame an 8-point deficit in the second half to stage a comeback to win the first-place trophy. Timely shooting by junior captain Shea Hansen (8 points in the 4th quarter) sealed the victory. Sophomore Lexi Bausha led the way for Milford with 16 points and senior captain Ellianna Nassy added 12 points.
The Hockey Team played 3 games at the Backyard Brawl Tournament at Conway Arena in Nashua. In the first game, the Nashua South Coop beat the Admirals 6-2. In game #2 the Merrimack, Hollis Brookline and Derryfield Coop beat the Admirals 5-2, but the Admirals did come back to win on the final day of the tournament over Nashua North/Souhegan 9-5.
Dylan Macleod, Braydon Atwwod and Byce Larco scored for Milford, while Chris Bozza earned an assist and Bryce Larco made two.
Girls Basketball earned this week's team of the week honors with their Championship in the Nashua Holiday Tournament.
