On Friday night the Spartan Girls Soccer Team traveled to Hollis Brookline. Although Molly Miles did a tremendous job in goal with 11 saves, the team lost to the Cavs 3-0.

 

The Field Hockey Team hosted ConVal on the Stadium Field. It was a back and forth game for both teams and it looked like Milford was to get its go ahead goal in the 3rd quarter, but the horn had sounded prior to the shot, so unfortunately the goal did not count. The game remained scoreless through the end of regulation and was sent into overtime. Again Milford just missed on a great opportunity and ConVal came back to score the tiebreaker with about 3 minutes to go in OT and pick up the hard fought 1-0 win. The girls gave it all they had.

The JV game also ended in a 1-0 loss.

 

The Volleyball Teams continued their winning ways with a sweep of Pelham by both the JV and Varsity teams 2-0 and 3-0 respectively. The team travels to Pelham on Monday Night for a rematch

 

On Saturday, Stella Thibodeau earned a spot with 10 other golfers to participate in the 9 hole Medalist Tournament. Stella finished the round with an impressive score of 47 at the Campbell Scottish Highland Course in Salem NH, tied for 1st place. After the play-off hole, Stella finished second. Congratulations to our Freshman Stella, who will have 3 more shots to capture a championship in the next 3 years.

 

The Football Team traveled to Manchester West on Saturday, but could not slow down the Knights as West was able to knock off the Spartans in Manchester.

 

The Cross Country Team traveled to Hudson to participate in the Battle of the Borders Invitational with teams from NH and across the border into MA. Logan Korthals finished fifth with a personal best 15:46 to lead Milford to a 10th place finish, the best ever by a Milford Team

 

Finally, the Bass Fishing Team of Aidan Lacasse and Bradyn Sodders qualified for the State Meet at Lake Winnisquam on Saturday and finished 4th in the state out of 32 teams in the State.
