The Milford High School Field Hockey team put up a strong fight against Hanover on Monday afternoon, ultimately falling short. Despite the final score of 6-0, the team showed growth across every area of the field.
Junior Paige Bernier, along with freshman Lily Webster, controlled the midfield with confidence making key plays that kept Milford in the game. On the defensive end, freshman Allie Cardin, sophomores Lea Lyons and Katie Kilmer, along with junior Nadia Dutton delivered standout performances, shutting down numerous Hanover advances and providing excellent backup for their goalies.
Offensively, senior Willa Audley, sophomore Emma Freeman and freshman Charlotte Dutton demonstrated noticeable improvement, pushing forward more aggressively than in past games, repeatedly bringing the ball into the circle. In goal, senior Violet Renda and freshman Norah Cardin each stood strong under relentless pressure, making several key saves for Milford.

The JV Football Team dug themselves a hole early, down 20-0, however they battled back to get inside the 10 yard line as time expired to fall 20-12. Carter Macias came in at quarterback and engineered two touchdown drives and just missed the 3rd as the game ended, but it was a valiant effort by the Spartans in the second half against the Generals.
The JV Volleyball Team won the first set but lost the next two as they fell to Campbell 2-1.
The Varsity Team swept the Cougars 3-0, beating Campbell 25-18, 25-12 and 25-22.
Skyla Salemi anchored the middle hitter [position with 8 spikes for points, while Kassie Cupin had 20 Assists, 4 aces and 6 spikes for points to help the offensive attack.
