The varsity field hockey team suffered a loss 0-2 to Merrimack Valley High School on Thursday afternoon. The girls worked tirelessly and continue to improve with every game. We saw outstanding play from junior midfielders Paige Bernier, Olivia Hamilton, and freshmen Lily Webster and Allie Cardin. They hustled the whole game trying to move the ball to the forward line and to the goal. Defensively we had strong sticks from Sophomores Lea Lyons and Katelynn Kilmer who have made great improvements. Adding to their impressive stats, Goalie Senior Violet Renda brought 14 saves to the first half of the game and Freshman Norah Cardin added an impressive 20 saves. Great effort was given by all. Chin up, we’ll get them next time ladies.

 

The JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams had two incredible matches against the best team played this season, Oyster River.

The JV Team lost the first set, but came back to win the next two and take the match 2-1.

The Varsity Team won the first two sets with a big comeback in set two, 25-17 and 28-26, however Oyster River regrouped and battled Milford back and forth, and won the next 3 sets 25-23, 25-23 and 15-10 to win the match 3-2.

Harper Anderson and Savannah Watson led the team with 25 spikes for points. Piper Greenhalph had 17 digs and Kassandra Cupin had 35 assists to lead Milford.

 

The Golf Team traveled to Cocheco Country Club yesterday afternoon for a match with Winnacunnet, Alvirne and St. Thomas. The Saints won the match with a score of 193.

For Milford, Jack Bastarache scored a 43, Aydan Dunbar and Landon DeFranco scored a 50, Parker Mills a 53 and Jack Bonafilia a 60 to round out the scoring for Milord.
