On Friday, May 2nd, members of the track team raced the mile at the first ever NH Distance Festival at Souhegan High School. Logan Korthals placed 5th in the boys mile and Jaylyn Paul placed 8th in the girls mile. Grant Skorupan, Will Whitley, Colin Kirby, and Cameron Lewicki also raced and each ran a personal record for the mile. Congrats Spartans!

 

On Saturday, May 3rd, the track team traveled to Salem High School for a very hot and humid Freshman/Sophomore meet. For the boys, Chase Paiva placed 5th in the Javelin and 3rd in the 3200m, Joey Schnitzler placed 4th in the shot put, and Alvaro Canas, Brendan Courtney and Gavyn Tessier all made it to the 100m dash finals. For the girls, Jaylyn Paul placed 2nd in the 3200m, Trinity Millner placed 3rd in the 100m hurdles, Rylee Coates placed 3rd in the 800m, Leila Lessage placed 5th in the 400m, and Alyssa Post placed 6th in the discus. Special shout outs to Gretta Rowe and Ryan Clark for their efforts in racing the 200m for the very first time!
