The Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team hosted Pelham yesterday afternoon and tied the game at 1 apiece early before Pelham went on a 10-0 run. Milford battled back and won the second half 5-3.
Payton Gaj scored 2 goals while Paige Duby, Olivia Lochhead and Amanda Faria each chipped in with one.
The Boys Tennis Team hosted Bow and lost 8-1, however James Crawford and Huseyin Alperen won at number 3 doubles 9-7. In singles, Javier Goodwin battled his Bow opponent for an hour and 55 minutes and lost a tough one 9-7.
The girls Tennis Team traveled to Boy and lost 7-2 but they too battled the Falcons tough.
The #1 Doubles team of Ellianna Nassy and Willa Audley won their match and Lauren Vander-Hayden and Claire Cote won their match 9-7 in the #2 doubles.
There was some great teamwork displayed by both teams.
The boys and girls track and field teams traveled to the ConVal on Tuesday. On the boys team, Ethan Morin won the High Jump with a personal best of 6'1. Alvaro Canas placed 3rd in the Long jump, Eli Gutierrez placed 4th in the discus, Cam Lewicki was 3rd in the javelin, and Josh Coates was 3rd in the 800. The boys 4x100m relay team placed 3rd with Kadyn Tessier, Gavyn Tessier, Alvaro Canas, and Victor McEnnis.
For the girls, Amelia Hebert won the high jump with a season best 5'1. Amelia, Catriona Carter, Bella Cornaro and Leila Lessage also won the 4x400m relay. Catriona and Leila Lessage placed 3rd and 4th in the 400, the 4x100m relay of Ameila, Leila, Maialen Begolain Garay, and Clara Barbetta placed 2nd. Bella Cornaro also placed 3rd in the 800.
Special shout out to freshmen throwers, Mason Trask and Ryan Clark, for big Personal Records in the Javelin!
Today the Girls Varsity Lacrosse match scheduled for 4 pm has been pushed back to a 4:45 pm start with the JV to follow. at 6:15 pm
